2019 Acura NSX

The 2019 Acura NSX is the stuff precision crafted dreams are made of: a purpose-built Acura supercar where every feature of the car, including every fold and crease of its stunning bodywork, serves the purpose of optimized performance. This is the 2019 Acura NSX Edmonton drivers have been waiting for, updated with new style options and even more amazing driving dynamics than ever before. If you're ready to step up to the ultimate in performance and technology, call to speak with one of West Side Acura's sales consultants at (780) 484-5444.

A Hybrid Supercar

As a true 21st-century supercar, the NSX features a Sport Hybrid drivetrain with a mid-mounted twin-turbo V6 combined with three electric motors for unmatched acceleration. One electric motor integrates directly with the V6 engine to give it the instantaneous torque that's characteristic of electric power. The other two electric motors, collectively called the Twin Motor Unit, are mounted to the front wheels and continuously adjust torque for optimum handling and cornering. Combined with Acura's Super Handling All Wheel Drive (SH-AWD), this drivetrain cranks out 573 horsepower and an earth-shattering 476 lb-ft of torque. Yet the NSX's Integrated Dynamics System offers four driving modes ranging from "Quiet" to "Track" to make it a useable, everyday driver that's still ready to slip its leash for track day excitement.

Performance

Acura's engineers never rest on their laurels. For 2019 they augmented the NSX's chassis with larger front and rear stabilizer bars and tauter rear toe link bushings. Continental SportContact 6 tires, new for this year and exclusive to the NSX, offer even more grip in all conditions including rain. Combined with software tuning changes, all of these enhancements improve balance and controllability and enabled the 2019 NSX to shave 2 seconds off its lap time at Japan's famous Suzuka Circuit.

Design

The Acura NSX continues its tradition of offering colour choices inspired by motorsports. For 2019, an available new colour called Thermal Orange Pearl pays homage to Acura racing vehicles that have long sported orange accents in their racing liveries. Likewise, the NSX's optional carbon ceramic metallic brakes can now be ordered with orange calipers. The standard iron brakes now offer optional red calipers, too. Other style changes for 2019 include a new body-coloured front grille garnish, a high-gloss front grille surround, and a mesh front air intake and rear bumper outlet. High gloss treatment is available for optional carbon fibre exterior pieces, as well.

Style enhancements inside the fighter jet-inspired cockpit include available indigo blue semi-aniline leather upholstery with an Alcantara theme. Non-Alcantara seats can now be trimmed in red leather in addition to the existing ivory option. Lighter weight, manually adjustable seats remain a no-cost option. A number of previously optional items are now included as standard equipment, including aluminum sport pedals, satellite navigation, the Acura ELS Studio premium sound system, and front and rear proximity sensors. And as always, each NSX can be custom-ordered to the buyer's specifications, complete with a tour of the Performance Manufacturing Center in Ohio where the NSX is built.
